Your quick guide

Make your first sprite

Start at 16 × 16 or 32 × 32. Draw a silhouette, fill it with a base color, then add a shadow and a highlight.

Make mistakes freely

Undo restores a stroke, layer change, or frame edit. Layers keep parts separate. A locked layer cannot be painted.

Switch Preview to Native size. Try light and dark backgrounds to check the outline.
